Bharat Kala Bhavan:-

Bharat Kala Bhavan is an art and archaeological museum located in Banaras Hindu University of Varanasi. It has been instrumental in collecting art and is one of the major tourist attractions in Varanasi. Established in 1920, the museum has a huge collection of costumes and textiles, Hindu and Buddhist sculptures, miniature paintings and other items of archaeological importance.

Most of the pictures in the museum dates back to 15th and 16th centuries. Most of the collections are historically important, aesthetically beautiful and has certain amount of uniqueness to it! It also possess one of the greatest collection of miniature paintings.

Timing - 10.30 A.M. - 5 P.M. Closed on - Sundays and University holidays


Ramnagar Fort museum

Ramnagar fort museum is an old fortification which is located 6 miles away from Varanasi. The main highlights of the museum are decorated howdahs, art works, weaponry displays and intricate ivory carvings. Built in the Mughal style of architecture in the year 1750, this museum is also famed for its awesome collection of American vintage cars and black musical instruments. Ramnagar museum is undoubtedly one of the major tourist attractions in Varanasi.

Archeological Museum Sarnath

"Archeological Museum Sarnath is in real sense India's oldest site museum of the archaeological survey. The place was designated Rishipatana, as it was here that the materials of five hundred Pratyaka Buddhas. The museum comprises five galleries & two verandahs to display the antiquities found in Sarnath between the third century BC and the twelfth century AD in time. The museum offer free entry for children below the age of 15 years. Guide facility is available."
